Direct answer

BlazeSQL costs $150 a month for one Pro user and $250 a month for one Advanced user. For teams, Blaze Team is $400 a month with 3 users included and $50 for each extra user, and Team Advanced is $800 a month with 3 users and $75 for each extra user; Enterprise is quoted by sales. A 10-person team therefore pays $750 a month on Blaze Team, or $9,000 a year. Prices were read from blazesql.com/blaze-pricing and blazesql.com/team-pricing on 19 October 2026.

The quoted prices are wrong

$10, $29, $39 and $99 are not BlazeSQL prices

Directory listings and review posts on page one quote those four monthly figures. BlazeSQL's individual page carries exactly three dollar amounts ($150, $250, $400) and its team page exactly four ($50, $75, $400, $800). None of the quoted four is among them.

The two pages disagree

Extra users cost $50, or a Pro seat

The team page prices a fourth user at $50 a month. The individual page's Team card says extra users need Blaze Pro, which is $150. Ask which applies before you sign, because on a 10-person team that is the gap between $750 and $1,450 a month.

The trial

14 days on Team, none on Advanced

Blaze Team starts with a 14-day free trial. Team Advanced has a Subscribe button and a demo link instead, and neither pricing page shows a permanent free plan. Run your trial on Team with real questions before you pay for the larger model.

›_ blazesql cost by team size

What a month of BlazeSQL costs at 3 to 50 users, against three alternatives.

Monthly list prices read 19 October 2026. AgentSQL rows are billed yearly; the others are the monthly rates their pages show.

Most of a team asks questions. Few of them build anything.

BlazeSQL's team pricing has a base and a slope. The $400 base buys three users, so a team of three pays about $133 a head, and every person after that adds $50. That shape is kind to a small analytics group and gets expensive when a whole sales or operations department wants access, because the people who only ask a question twice a week cost the same $50 as the analyst who lives in the tool.

AskYourDatabase charges every seat $49 from the first, which is cheaper than Blaze Team at every size we priced. Hex charges $75 per editor, which matches Blaze Team at ten people and costs more beyond. AgentSQL does not charge per seat inside a plan: Team covers up to 10 seats and 1,500 questions a month, and Scale covers up to 100 seats and 5,000 questions.

The question allowance is the honest catch on our side. A 25-person team on Scale shares 5,000 questions a month, about 200 each. If your people would ask far more than that, the per-seat tools with unlimited requests deserve a closer look.

Users Blaze Team Blaze Team Advanced AskYourDatabase Desktop Hex Team AgentSQL
3 $400 $800 $147 $225 $59 on Team
5 $500 $950 $245 $375 $59 on Team
10 $750 $1,325 $490 $750 $59 on Team
25 $1,500 $2,450 $1,225 $1,875 $179 on Scale
50 $2,750 $4,325 $2,450 $3,750 $179 on Scale

AskYourDatabase's plans are covered in full on our AskYourDatabase alternatives page, and the per-question meters that warehouse vendors charge instead of seats are worked through in AI agent tools that connect to a database, priced.

›_ blazesql alternatives

BlazeSQL alternatives compared on price, engines and setup.

One row per product we priced today. Engine lists come from each vendor's own pages.

Tool List price Databases How you use it Best for
AgentSQL $59 a month billed yearly for up to 10 seats PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, BigQuery Browser, read-only connection, shows the SQL Business teams that want answers and a fixed bill
BlazeSQL $400 a month for 3 users, $50 each after Most SQL engines, including SQL Server, Oracle, Redshift, Databricks Web plus a desktop app for private connections Teams that want chat, dashboards and Slack delivery in one product
AskYourDatabase $49 per seat a month SQL and NoSQL engines including SQL Server and MongoDB Desktop app, or an embeddable chatbot from $149 a month Analysts on a desktop, or a customer-facing chatbot
Hex $75 per editor a month on Team Warehouses and databases through notebooks Notebook workspace with an AI agent Data teams who write SQL and Python and publish apps

Where BlazeSQL wins

Breadth, delivery and the bigger model

BlazeSQL connects to SQL Server, Oracle, Redshift, Databricks and ClickHouse as well as the four engines we cover. It sends answers into Slack, Microsoft Teams, ChatGPT and Claude, builds drag-and-drop dashboards, emails scheduled agent reports, and on Advanced runs Python for forecasting. Its offline desktop mode keeps query results on the laptop. If you need those, the higher price buys real things.

Where AgentSQL wins

A team price that does not grow with headcount

AgentSQL runs in the browser with nothing to install, connects read-only to PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake or BigQuery, writes SQL in that engine's dialect, and returns a chart, a table, a one-line answer and the query it ran. Ten people cost $59 a month billed yearly instead of $750. That is the trade for a team whose job is answering questions, not building dashboards.

›_ how to price an ai data analyst

Four numbers to write down before a BlazeSQL demo.

01

Count askers and builders

Write down who will build dashboards and who only wants answers. On per-user plans both cost the same, so the split decides whether a seat price makes sense.

02

Name your engine

SQL Server or Oracle narrows the list to BlazeSQL and AskYourDatabase. PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake and BigQuery leave every option open.

03

Estimate questions a month

Unlimited requests matter only if you would hit a cap. Most teams ask a few questions per person per day, well inside a 1,500 or 5,000 allowance.

04

Price the year

Multiply the monthly figure by twelve at the headcount you expect next year, then confirm in writing how extra users are billed.

The renewal is priced at next year's headcount, not this year's.

Then test with your own data. Paste a question you asked an analyst last week into the console at the top of this page and compare the SQL with what they wrote. If the tool you are evaluating cannot show you its SQL, you cannot check the answer, whatever it costs. Our text to SQL page explains how we handle each engine's dialect.

›_ frequently asked

BlazeSQL pricing questions, answered.

How much does BlazeSQL cost?

BlazeSQL Pro is $150 a month and Advanced is $250 a month for one user. Blaze Team is $400 a month with 3 users included and $50 for each extra user, and Team Advanced is $800 a month with 3 users and $75 each after. Enterprise is a custom quote. Those are the figures on blazesql.com on 19 October 2026.

Does BlazeSQL have a free plan?

No ongoing free plan appears on either BlazeSQL pricing page. The Blaze Team plan carries a 14-day free trial, and the Team Advanced plan is a straight subscription. Prices you may see quoted at $10 or $29 a month come from older directory listings, not from BlazeSQL's current pages.

How much does BlazeSQL cost for 10 users?

$750 a month on Blaze Team: $400 covers the first three users and seven more cost $50 each. That is $9,000 a year. On Team Advanced the same ten people cost $1,325 a month, or $15,900 a year. Ten individual Pro accounts would be $1,500 a month, so Team is the cheaper route past three people.

What is a cheaper alternative to BlazeSQL?

For a team that wants to ask plain-English questions of PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake or BigQuery, AgentSQL Team is $59 a month billed yearly for up to 10 seats and 1,500 questions. AskYourDatabase Desktop is $49 a seat. If your database is SQL Server or Oracle, BlazeSQL and AskYourDatabase cover it and AgentSQL does not.

Is BlazeSQL worth it?

It is worth it when you will use what the higher price buys: dashboards, scheduled agent reports, Slack and Teams delivery, Python-level analysis and broad engine support. If the job is mainly answering ad hoc questions against one SQL database, a flat-priced text-to-SQL tool covers it at a fraction of the cost.

Does BlazeSQL charge per user?

Yes, above the included seats. Blaze Team includes 3 users in its $400 base and charges $50 for each additional user a month, and Team Advanced charges $75. The individual Pro and Advanced plans are one user each. Its individual pricing page also says extra team users need Blaze Pro, which disagrees with the $50 on the team page.

Which databases does BlazeSQL support?

BlazeSQL's homepage lists PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks and ClickHouse. That is wider than AgentSQL, which connects to PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake and BigQuery only. Private connections run through BlazeSQL's desktop app, and an offline mode keeps query results on your computer.
