Omni vs Looker Pricing and Omni vs Looker Cost per User for a Growing Data Team
Neither vendor publishes a license price. Compare Omni's $27,976 annual median with a third-party Looker benchmark near $150,000, see the budget math for 25 and 100 users, and identify the missing terms before requesting a quote.
Ask the demo shop a question, or type your own:
Reading the schema, writing SQL… Writing SQL… Running (read‑only)… SQL AgentSQL wrote
▋
A real MySQL shop: customers, products, orders and signups over the last year. AgentSQL writes the SQL, runs it read-only, and answers.
Omni vs Looker pricing is quote-only because neither vendor publishes a license price. Vendr puts Omni's median at $27,976 a year, while secondary, third-party procurement data puts a typical Looker contract near $150,000 a year. Looker Standard bundles 12 users, but neither benchmark tells you what your specific team will pay.
For a US data lead comparing quotes or approaching a Looker renewal, the useful distinction is between a published price, a procurement benchmark and a negotiated commitment. The calculations below keep those separate so you can budget before a sales call without treating an estimate as an offer.
Is Omni cheaper than Looker?
Omni looks cheaper on the available procurement benchmarks, with a $27,976 annual median versus a typical Looker contract near $150,000 in secondary data. Those figures describe different sets of purchases, without a matched seat mix or scope. They support a budget hypothesis, not a guaranteed saving for your team.
Ask both vendors to price the same people, usage and contract period. A smaller initial license bill can still require migration work, model maintenance and warehouse spending. The comparison also changes if you need governed dashboards and embedding rather than occasional answers from tables. Establish those requirements before comparing annual totals.
How the pricing models compare
| Budget item | Omni | Looker | AgentSQL |
|---|---|---|---|
| Published price | No public dollar price found | All editions say Call sales | Starter $24, Team $59, Scale $179 a month, billed yearly |
| Pricing model | Sales quote with AI credits | Platform fee and negotiated user licenses | Plans with seat and monthly question limits |
| Users included | Confirm seat counts and types in quote | Standard includes 10 Standard and 2 Developer Users | Starter 1, Team up to 10, Scale up to 100 seats |
| AI pricing | Included credits, optional overage, no published credit price | Promotional access currently unmetered, future token overage rates published | 600, 1,500 or 5,000 questions a month by plan |
| API limits | Confirm in quote | Monthly query-based calls of 1,000 Standard, 100,000 Enterprise, 500,000 Embed | Question allowances are not an API quota |
| Contract term | Confirm in quote | Annual commitment, one, two or three years | Prices shown use yearly billing |
| Best for | Teams seeking modeled BI as a Looker alternative | Teams investing in LookML and governed BI | Teams needing direct answers from supported SQL databases |
AgentSQL is our product and serves a narrower job. Omni and Looker win on semantic modeling, governed dashboards and embedding. The AgentSQL pricing page publishes the plan limits so you can decide whether that narrower scope fits before comparing prices.
How much does Omni cost?
Omni's median buyer pays $27,976 a year according to Vendr transaction data covering 36 purchases, with a range of $22,500 to $55,066. Omni itself publishes no dollar price in the checked pages. Dividing that median across 25 people gives about $93 per person per month, not a seat rate.
On October 14, 2026, omni.co/pricing returned “404 Page not found.” The sitemap listed no pricing, plan, trial or cost URL. The homepage and its comparison pages for Looker, Power BI and Sigma carried no dollar amounts. Our Omni Analytics pricing analysis records that evidence.
Omni meters AI in credits with an included allotment. Going beyond it requires switching on overage billing; controls include a hard cap and a less expensive model option. Credits are pooled at account level but managed per organization. Without a published per-credit price, you need the allowance and overage rate in writing.
Budget examples for 25 and 100 users
The Omni and Looker rows hold each annual benchmark constant solely to show division across headcount. They are not estimates of vendor quotes for those seat counts. Only AgentSQL has a published plan here that explicitly covers both groups. Per-person monthly equivalents divide annual cost by users and then by 12.
| Product and basis | 25 users | 100 users |
|---|---|---|
| Omni, Vendr median benchmark held constant | $27,976 a year, about $93.25 per person monthly | $27,976 a year, about $23.31 per person monthly |
| Looker, secondary third-party benchmark held constant | Near $150,000 a year, about $500 per person monthly | Near $150,000 a year, about $125 per person monthly |
| AgentSQL Scale, published list price | $179 a month billed yearly, $2,148 a year | $179 a month billed yearly, $2,148 a year |
Scale includes up to 100 seats and 5,000 questions a month, so the same list price covers either headcount within that allowance. The benchmarks do not establish whether Omni or Looker would cover either group at those totals. None of this arithmetic prices migration labor, warehouse queries or additional negotiated usage.
How much does Looker cost per user?
Looker has no published per-user price. Standard edition includes 10 Standard Users and 2 Developer Users, while every seat beyond those twelve is negotiated alongside the platform fee. Developer, Standard and Viewer licenses all lack public rates. A useful blended monthly figure is your annual quote divided by headcount and 12.
Google's pages, read October 21, 2026, show Call sales for Standard, Enterprise and Embed. The near-$150,000 typical contract is a secondary, third-party figure; Vendr's Looker page did not resolve when checked September 28, 2026. Our Looker pricing breakdown separates that benchmark from Google's published terms.
Budget LookML developer headcount as well as the license. Also keep Data Studio separate. Looker Studio was renamed back to Data Studio on April 11, 2026; Data Studio Pro costs $9 per user per project per month. That price belongs to a different product.
Is Omni a good Looker alternative?
Omni is a credible option to evaluate when you want a Looker alternative with a semantic model between the warehouse and business users. Omni publishes its own Looker comparison and pitches to Looker customers. Whether it fits your renewal decision depends on validating your existing definitions, dashboards and embedding requirements during evaluation.
Use representative LookML definitions and business questions to test results, then ask who owns the migration and ongoing model work. Do not assume that choosing another semantic modeling tool makes existing LookML portable. Our Omni Analytics alternatives guide and Looker alternatives comparison help frame the shortlist.
Both products also need usable warehouse data. You may need to connect your apps and databases to the warehouse before either BI tool can model those sources. Include that upstream work in the project budget rather than assuming the BI quote covers it.
What does Looker Conversational Analytics cost?
Looker Conversational Analytics remains unmetered during promotional access. Google extended the promotion beyond its original September 30, 2026 end and promises at least 90 days of notice before billing. Once billing starts, overage rates are $3.00 per million input data tokens and $20.00 per million output data tokens.
Included pools are instance-wide, starting on Standard at 60 million input and 1.2 million output tokens. These are token pools, not question counts or individual seat allowances. The eventual bill depends on usage beyond each pool, so a headcount calculation cannot predict it.
Ask for usage reporting and the billing transition terms before relying on the promotion in a renewal budget. Omni's credits and Looker's tokens measure different things; neither becomes a reliable cost per question without workload evidence. Our conversational analytics guide explains the purchasing choices.
What to ask both sales teams before signing
Request an itemized order form for your actual workload, plus a written expansion scenario. For a Looker renewal, ask for the renewal quote and the migration scope together so procurement can compare continuing with the current model against moving it.
- Seat counts by type, included users, extra-seat prices and reassignment rules.
- AI credit or token allowances, overage rates, caps and who can enable spending.
- Query-based API quota, expected usage and the terms for exceeding it.
- Contract length, payment schedule, renewal uplift and how expansion affects discounts.
- LookML migration ownership, validation work, deliverables and ongoing model maintenance.
If the BI platform fee remains hard to justify, the Metabase vs Looker pricing comparison provides another route to evaluate. Keep the same workload and maintenance assumptions across the shortlist.
When direct answers are enough
AgentSQL connects read-only to PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake and BigQuery only. It runs the query and returns a chart, a table, a one-line answer and the SQL. It is not a full BI platform with governed dashboards, and it does not replace the modeling or embedding reasons to choose Omni or Looker.
If your team mainly needs answers from those databases, try AgentSQL and compare its output with your real questions. Review the allowances and published costs on the AgentSQL plans page before committing to a broader BI contract.

Common questions
- Does Omni have a free plan?
- Omni published no plan list or free tier on omni.co as of October 14, 2026. Its pricing URL returned a 404, and its sitemap listed no pricing, plan, trial or cost URL. That establishes what was publicly available, not whether sales might offer an evaluation. Ask for evaluation access and its conditions directly.
- Can you buy Looker month to month?
- No. Google lists Looker with an annual commitment and terms of one, two or three years. Standard, Enterprise and Embed all require a sales quote. Ask the order form to distinguish the commitment period from the payment schedule, and have sales document renewal terms before you sign.
- Is Looker Studio the same as Looker?
- No. Looker Studio was renamed back to Data Studio on April 11, 2026, and is a different product from Looker. Data Studio Pro, formerly Looker Studio Pro, costs $9 per user per project per month. That published price does not buy a Looker edition, its platform or its user licenses.
- Do Looker viewers need a license?
- Yes. Viewer is a Looker user license type alongside Standard and Developer. Google publishes no dollar price for any of those types. Standard edition includes 10 Standard Users and 2 Developer Users, so do not assume viewers are included without charge. Have the quote identify Viewer seats and their negotiated cost explicitly.
- Can AgentSQL replace Looker?
- For teams mainly asking questions of SQL data, AgentSQL can cover that narrower job. It connects read-only to PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake and BigQuery, runs queries and returns a chart, table, answer and SQL. It is not a full BI platform with governed dashboards. Keep Looker or Omni when semantic modeling, governed dashboards or embedding are central requirements.
- Does the Omni median predict a renewal quote?
- No. The $27,976 annual median describes 36 purchases reported by Vendr, with a range of $22,500 to $55,066. It does not establish a seat rate, your included usage or a renewal commitment. Use it to frame a budget discussion, then request written terms for your actual users and expected usage.
